Clinton T. Duffy was the warden of The San Quentin Prison in San Francisco from 1940-1952. This book is a collection of his stories. He was instrumental in bringing reform into the prison system. San Quentin Prison was the first prison in the country to have a group of Alcoholics Anonymous!
This book is in good condition. The inscription and signatures are on the first blank page of the book. The black cloth cover shows fading and stains. The pictures above make the book look to be in rough condition but holding the book in your hands it does not show as much. The boards are firm and the binding is fully intact. The book does not have a dust jacket.
