SIGNED by Ruth Hock - 1st Edition 12th Printing 1948 - ODJ
This book is signed by Ruth Hock who was the first paid secretary for AA. She worked with Bill Wilson and Hank Parkhurst during the critical pioneering times of the late 1930s to the early 1940s. She typed the original manuscript of Alcoholics Anonymous and perhaps made a suggestion or two.
The inscription is not detailed with who it was intended for. The inscription is dated 3/18/84. There is also a photo of Ruth Hock with Bill Wilson taped on the first blank page below the inscription.
This book is in very good condition. The covers look great and the gilt lettering on the spine is bright with minimal wear. There is a very small white mark at the bottom of the front cover. There is no other writing or markings in the book other than the inscription and photo. There is a stain on the outside of the pages towards the back of the book starting at page 337. The dust jacket is in good condition. There is some light chipping, small tears around the edges and a portion of the jacket spine missing. This book will also come with a reproduction dust jacket underneath the original.
Please view all of the photos for the conditions.
