This book is extremely RARE! This is the Great Britain First Printing of Primer on Alcoholism by Marty Mann! This version of the book features a Foreword by Dr. T Ferguson Rodger - Professor of Psychological Medicine at the University of Glasgow. This book was published in 1952 by Victor Gollancz LTD in London.
The book is in excellent condition with very little wear. There is a “File Copy” stamp on the front cover of the dust jacket and first page of the book. There is pencil writing on the first blank page of the book. There is no other writing or markings inside the book. The dust jacket looks very nice.
Marty Mann is well known as the first woman to enter AA and to stay sober. She founded the National Council on Alcoholism and devoted her life to helping alcoholics and raising awareness.
